Health and Wellness
LGBTQ+ people have always needed to be our own healthcare advocates, and today is no different. Our community experiences health challenges at increased rates as a result of higher-risk behaviors, which are caused in part by systemic discrimination, minority stress, and familial homophobia or transphobia. Left unaddressed, these challenges lead to worsened health outcomes—making it critical that we take community wellness into our own hands.
Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center believes that all LGBTQ+ people deserve absolute health equity: the attainment of the highest levels of health and wellness available today. In that spirit, the center develops leading-edge health promotion programs, provides critical on-site supportive services, and promotes the structural changes necessary to eliminate long-standing regional health disparities.
Our health programs are completely informed by data, evolving community needs, and critical service gaps across the Greater Lehigh Valley.
